Phuket Brewery

Phuket Entertainment news site on the local music scene Fri exploded on Friday evening. The Phuket Brewery had already been open for one week, but the 21 November was the first real test with a show of the great Thai star Carabou. There was never any doubt that it would be popular, but even the most optimistic of venue management must have been pleased with the turnout. The 1,800-seat arena was packed with many more people outside, unable to get into the main arena and then was forced to enjoy the show on the big screen while supping in-house brewed beer.

The large parking lot was full and flooded the vehicles on the bypass road. The room heaved with dancing revelers, while Carabou and supporting operations hit a fine show on the hugely impressive 30-meter platform.

This event was the first major test for the ambitious project. The passed test well but not with flying colors. There are still a few rough edges that need smoothing. Service personnel struggled desperately to cope with the demand for food and drinks. Office management readily admits that beer brewed in their micro-brewery is not entirely clear.

Still when you consider the scale of this undertaking, the first major exhibition at the Phuket Brewery must go down as a success and a sign of Phuket now has one top-class music venue that will entertain us for many years. People who are running this show are very professional and know what they do. It takes a little time for them to make the system runs like a well oiled machine to get, but it will happen.

To those who are still unaware of Phuket Brewery, is a major new events arena. They have a big step in a large arena with seating for up up to 1800 people. You can eat and drink on the table while you enjoy the show.

The name Phuket Brewery (Thai name of “Rong Phuket Beer”), because the venue has its own micro-brewery, producing 3 in-house beers. During the day, customers can get a quick introduction to the brewing process. Ale is not yet 100%, but is already passable, and a welcome change from mass-produced bottled beer drinkers in Thailand usually have to endure.

In addition to the impressive indoor arena, there is also a beer garden for a quieter drink – as long as the passing traffic on the bypass road is not too heavy. Are two VIP rooms for parties and TV screens everywhere, so you can enjoy the show, even when you are in the arena.

The food seems a bit expensive and you wonder if they may have to revise its menu prices to get in an ordinary canteen audience. This is not primarily a place to eat. This is a venue in the novelty of his own beer.

The place already has bookings every weekend until the end of January for the A-list Thai stars as Modern Dog and the number one Thai star in the moment Because Endorphins. Management plan to invite some international stars when they have the whole operation running smoothly. This is really a top addition to entertainment options to Phuket.

You do not need to wait for top stars to come before you check out the venue. They have their own home entertainers each evening show. Every night there’s no bigger star, there will be a show of house artists. The talented house band and guest singers will do every evening until midnight. The nights are less crowded than when the stars come but they are definitely still a popular alternative to other venues in the city has become.

You can buy tickets at reception or telephone for questions and micro-brewery tours on 076 612885 or 076 249,501th If you expect to be a regular customer, you might consider purchasing a card, members receive a 10% or 15% discount on all prices.

The Phuket Brewery is on the Bypass Road, opposite Tesco Lotus. You can not miss it with a big boat sticking up in front of the building.

Much maligned Patong

It is very easy for us expat living in Phuket to see the bottom of Patong. I know I’m often guilty of it myself. While many of us start out in Patong, once we arrive in Phuket, most long-term stayers ends up moving out to one of the Thai areas of the island. We feel like we know better now and we have come. We are familiar with Thailand and we have left behind Patong. We understand that Patong is only a shallow creation designed to extract as much money as possible from gullible tourists. This is not real Thailand. Phuket is a large island full of beautiful sights, charming people. Patong is just the sleazy hole mass tourism. It has so many flaws it’s hard to list them all.

Sometimes I have to slow myself down before I jump on my soapbox about Patong. What I remember is, despite all of Patong’s fault, it is still great fun. I know many will disagree with myself, but one night in Patong can be a great laugh, even for jaded posted.

You can always look strange or unusual sights. There are always things going on. You can meet all kinds of characters and hear all sorts of colorful and crazy stories. There are many people from many backgrounds, all thrown together in this little melting pot, where the normal rules do not quite apply. You can sit back and see the results.

You need to be in the mood to enjoy a night out in Patong. This is especially true if you’re a guy who is not in the market for a female companion. For example, the bypass if you are not in the right mood, then trek to the toilet, trying to block your path and pull you away from all the grabbing female weapons can be annoying. But if you are in a good mood then it is all part of the fun. No matter how fake you know it is, with lots of attractive women push themselves on you and call you hansum is not that bad an experience.

The Patong girls are usually good. There are many charming young women among them. If you clear from the outset that you are not looking for indiscipline, you can do a chat and a laugh with them. If you feel that they have given you some good entertainment then buy them a lady drink to reward them for their time. Of course, if you actually are looking for a quickie then they will probably be happy to oblige.

Still, let’s not ignore errors Patong, since it goes:

* Patong are expensive. This is one of the most expensive places in Thailand.
* Patong Sleazy. That can not be denied. The Go-Gos, sex shows and mass prostitution are there for all to see. Transvestites dancing on the street and scantily clad young women shouting to all passing men.
* The Tuk-Tuk Mafia. You can not make any excuses for the Tuk-Tuks in Patong. They’re ridiculously expensive, they are patrolling on the roads as they own them, and they behave like thugs, if someone challenges them in any way.
* Patong Attracts the worst Thais. I do not think there is any doubt about it. There is a lot of unsavory characters around Patong. The lure of easy money does attract some of the less pleasant characters from all over Thailand. Hustlers and scam merchants harass tourists. Pickpockets look for soft targets. Lady Boys patrol along the Beach Road. Small children are forced to sell flowers around the bars. It’s a long way from the cozy, friendly and respectful Thai people we see in the tourist ads.
* Patong is Noisy. Loud music blares out from the bar after bar, sometimes so close together that you can not even distinguish the songs. Water-skis and power boats roar up and down on the beach and endless traffic is noisy around town.
* Patong is smelly. On still nights, drain odor from Patong overworked hangs over the city.
* Patong is dirty. Trash overflows from bins and alleys. The sea is full of garbage.

The list is long. There is no doubt about it. Patong has a lot of mistakes. Yet I find myself wanting to defend his opponents of Patong. Patong is what it is. Despite all its shortcomings, serves its purpose. This is a party town. People are going to have a good time. They come to get drunk, having a laugh, to see color and some come to play with the girls. This is what it is.

Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than Patong rest of Thailand. But it’s a complaint, you can do about the whole Phuket. The prices reflect the islands of Phuket success. As people and money flow into the island, land prices soar and prices rise.

In fact, in some ways Patong is actually one of the most expensive in Phuket. There are so many bars, restaurants and inns competing together, they have to be competitive. You can find a decent rooms from 500 baht a night. If you go back from the beach road you can find plenty of cheap bars and restaurants. If you go to the trendy bars and clubs around Phuket Town, you’ll find the beer prices are indeed higher than in Patong.

There are some good restaurants around Patong. So many people are going to have a go at running a restaurant that some of them are bound to be good at it. There are some wonderful restaurant locations around the Bay of Kalim. If you search the back streets of Patong, you can find some absolute gems, serves excellent food at reasonable prices. You can also find plenty of stinkers, but this is just one part of the game.

Yes, it’s a little insipid Patong. But it is mostly around the central part of the Bangla Patong Road. There are also many pleasant and stylish bars and restaurants around Patong. Anyway, one of the sleaze Patong attractions. People know that this is one of Patong sites and they want to see it. Even many of the tourists that are not sex tourists like to look at the colorful phenomena around the sex industry. “It is fun and funny to watch. This is usually harmless. Do not I will pretend that there is a downside. This is a nasty underbelly of it all. However, in general, the participants not to harm anyone else, and most are not harming themselves.

Yes, Patong attracting its share of unsavory characters. Again, this is part of the nature of Patong. Bangla Road would not be the same if it was lined with cultured pearls Thai people respectfully waiing passing tourists. The Hustler and the girls are the ones who make Bangla Road buzz. These are the ones that make the stories. She may not be the nicest people, but they do tend to be entertaining.

Yes, it’s Patong smelly and dirty. This is almost inevitable, given the large number of people who cram into the tiny space. Patong infrastructure struggle to keep pace with the increasing demands on them. The roads, electricity, water supply and drain all the strain under the weight of demand. In fact, given the limited infrastructure, I think the authorities do a pretty good job of keeping clean Patong.

Beach and sea can really do a good clean up but I still think that Patong location is pretty amazing. On a clear blue day, the wooded hills that frame his beautiful Patong. The beach is a beautiful 3-km long sand that is perfect for swimming and spectacular views around the two capes is beautiful.

The buzz of jet skis and speed boats are intrusive. The lines of sun-beds do weaken the natural beauty and vendors can be annoying. But holiday-makers know that is a busy Patong beach. They expect actions and operations. If they wanted a quiet beach, they could have chosen another beach.

The tuk-tuks. Select the i cannot really defend the tuk-tuks. They are a blight in Patong. I generally try to avoid them, but I must say that on the occasions I have used them, I have not had a really bad experience. They’re overpriced, but as long as you price in advance to agree and do in a calm manner, they will take you to wherever you want.

So yes, Patong has many errors. Personally I would not want to live there, and I dont even want to visit that often. That certainly does not give an authentic Thai experience. In spite of this, I still like to visit from time to time, because, for all its faults, is Patong still a fun place with lots of action in a beautiful location.

More precisely, if I were planning a holiday to Phuket, Patong is still the place I would choose to base myself. This is the center of nightlife. It has all the amenities you need. This is where it happens. Most of all, it’s fun.

What are the effects of the Boom in Thai-Western marriages?

A reporter recently contacted us while in the course of researching material for a new story. Article he wrote was about that endless fascinating subject, mixed Thai-Western marriages. This topic seems to hold great fascination not only concerned for our ex-pat residents in Thailand, but also for the reading public in the west. I think there is some Scheidemann Freud that large German word for taking pleasure in others’ misfortune. People love stories of Western men come to Thailand looking for love in paradise, but only for it all go horribly amiss. Many of the articles that appear in the Western press focused on this side of the story. There is a lot of stereotypes and erroneous reporting in these articles but there is a page of history that the western media prefer.

This reporter had read a few of the articles on this site about the topic and wanted to take us a few more opinions. He said he was not looking for these marriages to paint a negative light, but he was interested in whether the financial security is the motivating factor for the Thai women. I have no reason to doubt that he tries to write a fair and balanced story. I do not particularly mind if he isn’t. Is a negative side to this relationship and there is no point is denying. It’s a shame that the western media did not even print stories about the positive side, but we all know good news not sell newspapers.

Here is the gist of my reply:

It is certainly an interesting and complex subject. Of course we can only deal with generalizations. All these factors have their own stories, but there seems to be some common patterns.

I believe there is no doubt that outweigh the main motivating factor for most Thai women, when they first decided to search for a Western man, is financial security. This is especially true for people from poor rural areas in Isaan.

What is interesting is that most of these women makes a conscious decision to look for a Western man. It is not often something that simply happens to them by chance. The signature matching up with the body or go to work on the girly bars in the tourist resorts. They make the choice to look for a Western man.

The primary reason for this choice is economic security, but there are other factors. There is a perception among Thai women western men are more reliable and loving. Many of these women have had bad experiences in relation to Thai men. Many of them marry and have children at a young age, only to have their young Thai men were not ready to settle down. Thai men have a reputation to play around and generally not to be the most reliable. Relationship break down, causing the women to support families and not enough income. They make a practical choice to support their family.

Given time, I think, many of them to love their western men, but love is not their first motivation.

I think Western men often come into these relationships with more Romantic notions. Many women are disappointed in their homelands. They think they can find women who are closer to their ideals in Thailand. They may be looking for more old-fashioned values. They want women who are feminine, fun and good-natured.

There is also an element of playing the role as savior. They like the idea that they can save a poor Thai women from her life in poverty. It’s nice to feel that you can be a bit of a hero to your wife.

Of course, there are other men who are just making a practical decision that they can find a much more attractive wife in Thailand than they could ever hope to find in your home country.

The effects of Phuket has been truly impressive. You will find Western food outlets throughout the island. There are four western style shopping malls and multiplex cinemas in three moves in Thai and English. There are three international schools and a further three bilingual schools. There is an enormous amount of development taking place. Much of this is because the tourism sector, but there are also many housing projects to foreigners, many western men with Thai wives. The island is quite explosive and is generating great wealth. Many of these western men to invest in real estate and businesses in Phuket. Attempt of foreigners to settle here, have a high error rate, but investment is still into the economy and the money goes round.

On the negative side, there is a sense among many ex-Pats who now are foreigners is such a common sight in Phuket, it has eroded away the respect that Thais used to give their foreign guests. Familiarity breeds contempt. The old-timers remember the days when she feels special. They talk about the days when Thais stepped aside to allow them in front of the queue. These days, it is much more common for foreigners to be targeted for robbery or burglary. Feeling is that many Thais to foreigners more as a source of money than welcome guests.

Are positives and negatives to Thai-Western marriages and their impact on Thai society. In general, I think the positive far the negatives, but all involved have their own experiences.

I look forward to reading the journalist’s story.

Culture and Etiquette in Thailand

Of all the Indochinese nations, Thailand is the only one never to have been colonized, something they are very proud of. Over 90% of Thais are Buddhist followers and this has shaped much of their culture. As part of this, a strong sense of status in the Thai community. It is therefore expected to be a polite person demonstrates the proper respect for someone of higher status and also for the elderly.

The traditional Thai greeting is the “wai”. Both hands are brought together in a praying position and tapped gently on the chest while bending. To show maximum respect, the hands are raised to the level of the nose. Foreigners are not expected to begin “WAI” but should return it. We should never give a “wai” to children or people like shop assistants, should not their “wai” will be returned. A brief nod of the head in recognition is enough.

The top status in Thailand offered to the king and the royal family. Thai people revere King Bhumibol and show him the utmost respect. While he is protected by law, and it is a serious crime to insult him or show disrespect. Foreigners detained in Thailand for insulting the king.

If invited to a Thai at home, it’s polite, but not necessary to remove a small gift such as chocolate, fruit or flowers. These should be wrapped in colored paper, but not green, black or blue as these are used in funerals and when in grief. Do not marigolds or carnations. These are for funerals. It is normal to remove a place when you’re home and when they go home crossed the threshold and not on it. Traditional Thai custom is that the living God in the door threshold.

Thai people tend to eat with a fork and spoon. Chopsticks are only used to eat noodles. Spoon should see In the right hand and fork in left. The fork is used to push food on the spoon which is then raised to the mouth. Special to the north is the sticky rice is a popular food. This is usually eaten with your fingers. Always on the right hand! It’s polite to leave a little food on your plate to show that you are drunk. If you eat anything or take the latest in a bowl, the host will lose face for not having sufficient condition. That is not acceptable to leave any rice. This is considered wasteful.

Thailand is still a conservative society, and this is revealed in the attitude to dress. Smart, clean clothing is essential. Only the low-status people would wear something else, and many Thais are offended by the casual clothes often worn by young Western travelers. Shorts and sleeveless shirts are not acceptable to most Thais, if not on the beach. Revealing clothing is also taboo.

In temples, you will not join unless you are properly dressed. This means no shorts or t-shirt. For women, slacks, a long skirt, a long sleeved shirt with a buttoned neck and a scarf are recommended. Book flights to Thailand

Find some great information on booking flights to Thailand.
Anti-government protests from Red Shirts fraction have been rocking Thailand for sometime and so far the reported death count is 25 In the latest round of violence, a series of grenade explosions ripped through Bangkok, which means that at least one dead and 50 injured. Earlier this month the country witnessed an outbreak of violence, the worst of its kind in the last 18 years. Demonstrators went to the extent of using guns and rocket launchers.

In fact, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva went ahead to declare martial law in Bangkok and many countries issued warnings against traveling to Thailand. Russia, Italy and South Korea warned its citizens not to visit Bangkok, while Israel, recommended Singapore, Hong Kong and French citizens against non-essential travel to Bangkok. Similarly, China warned citizens to postpone traveling to Thailand, while Australia recommended a high degree of caution “for tourists in Thailand.

The outbreak of violence has already forced one mass exodus of tourists from Bangkok. UK citizens would do well to check out the website of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office ‘for comprehensive information about Thailand travel under the current circumstances. Website warns against all but essential travel to Bangkok, and certain areas of Thailand and not travel at all to certain specific areas. It is imperative that the site be checked out because the information is invaluable and contains aspects that particularly sensitive areas, emergency tips, and local laws.

Earlier this was violence mainly concentrated in Bangkok and things seemed to be limping back to normality. The recent blocking of a train carrying military supplies in Khon Kaen province, some 241 miles northeast of Bangkok indicate the nature of the spread unrest. The Red Shirts claimed that military goods are transported by the train were intended for use against fellow demonstrators in Bangkok. Quite naturally, the scenario resulted in a major dive in flights to Thailand.

A peaceful solution to the problem seems pretty slim as the Red Shirts that Parliament will be dissolved within a month, and elections, while the government says that there is no room for negotiations as long as the protests continued unlawful. Time, Silom Road, known as Wall Street in Thailand bears a deserted look with many of the major shopping centers, restaurants, offices and banks will be shut down.

Bangkok is beginning to resemble a city under siege by thousands of Red Shirts barricading themselves in prominent areas. Police and military are on the streets in full riot gear in overwhelming numbers, while military helicopters swarm the skies. The recent spate of grenade attacks led to the closure of elevated train and subway stations in Bangkok. It is uncertain when things will stabilize, but on a brighter note, it can be argued that cheap flights to Thailand would be available in greater numbers when the crisis will be over. This is because aircraft would welcome more and more passengers to book their losses.

But now the situation seems to be further out of control with government supporters, including the red shirt factions also come out against the red shirt demonstrators. The situation is more complicated than the reports are pouring in that many defense officers also mixed with the demonstrators. Whatever the situation, a great cruelty can not be ruled out if the government is issuing ultimatums to the use of excessive force to suppress demonstrations.

Travel Guide to Phuket, Thailand

Phuket

Phuket, which has long been Thailand’s premier beach destination has now evolved into 1 of Southeast Asia’s 2 most glamorous & jet-set island (the other is Bali). The many top flight resorts vie with each other in wealth, often to fine effect: Thais tend to have a good sense of aesthetics, as masterpieces far than those monstrosities. If you’ve money & like to use it at the stylish restaurants & resorts, this is the place for you. The better Phuket too wealthy, but the worse it becomes for budget travelers, now banished to the most scruffy Doss-house in the noisy streets.

Environment

Your first impression of Phuket depends on where you came from. If you just stepped off a plane from a bleak European winter op your first visit to Thailand, you can ongetwijfeld binnen soon conclude that the only thing separating the location of paradise is the lack of soprano-singing women with large wings & white robes flying around. If, however, you’ve just come from a pristine island, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Muk & Koh Lao Liang, find Phuket over-developed. Not that this matters much if you’ve deep enough pockets to stay in 1 of the most beautiful luxury resorts, which zealously clean their beachfront every morning before their guests arise.

Sports

Phuket is superbly equipped & located for the supporters of Thailand’s top 3 five-star sports, sailing, big-game fishing & golf (it has 5 courses). Plus, it’s Thailand’s best dive base, from which you can reach the Similan Islands, Koh Racha Yai, Koh Doc Mai, Hin Daeng & Hin Muang, plus Anemone Reef & King Cruiser sites. This is a convenient base for exploring 1 of the best tropical kayaking destinations in the world, the stunning limestone map cathedrals in Phang Nga Bay.

Beaches

Phuket is blessed with an abundance of beautiful beaches, the finest, located along the west coast. The most famous of these is the infamous Patong, which is used to attract hippy backpackers who filings to a magnet, but now, since 1 hours girly bars & hotels moved in, most prefer in a different kind of tourism. While Patong is now a paradise for dissolute, it is also a place where families with young children can have a great time (if they don’t return to their village late) due to the outstanding facilities at many of the superb hotels located there. The nightlife is as raw as the other 2 of the trio of Thailand’s pandemonium of P (Pattaya & Patpong in Bangkok outrageous shady the other 2 are).

For families with teenage children who want to be out & about later in the evening, the vulgarity of Patong’s sex tourists as they troop in & out of short-time hotels Patong make an inappropriate place. More healthy places are the nearby beaches of Kata Yai, Kata Noi & families, Karon (Phuket’s most exclusive beach & no doubt it with the best-balanced development. Kata Noi beach, home to the Amari Kata Thani Resort is particularly picturesque & offers good snorkeling.

On the southern tip of Phuket pretty Nai Harn Beach is still relatively unspoiled, thanks to his bodyguard, the Samnak Song monastery, which has repeatedly refused to sell out to developers, the beach is thus home to only 1 resort, the luxurious Royal Meridien Yacht Club. From the top of nearby Promthep Cape, the island’s southernmost point, the sunsets are often the fieriest imagine, but make sure you arrive in good time so you can find a place to park when you want to be a long way from being the only 1 enjoying the view.

Laem Sing beach is a small, curving bay with rocky headlands at the foot of the forest-fringed cliffs & is among Phuket’s most beautiful locations. Ao Bang Thao is a large open bay with 1 of Phuket’s longest beaches. There was once used for tin mining, but has since evolved into a luxury hotel. The greatest of these is occupied by the Laguna complex, 4 luxury hotels & a golf course. Family facilities here are excellent, & some decent coral has somehow survived the many visitors snoring else “fins. The often nearly empty Nai Yang beach is lined with Casuarina trees that provide shady spots to spread a beach mat & collapse. Off-shore is a large coral reef that serves as habitat for several species of marine life, if you’re lucky you can see a turtle or two, especially in April, when the baby turtles are released from the Fisheries Department. If you’ve some time to kill before your flight from the nearest airport, here is a good place to do it. Or Pansea beach Phan-si is a celebrity & VIP hideout occupied by 2 exclusive resorts, Amanpuri & the Chedi, both of which goes to lengths to protect the privacy of its guests.

Phuket has a lot going for it, unless your idea of happiness is an empty, spotless, silent beach. While strenuous efforts are made to clean the beaches, the visitor volumes makes it inevitable that some traces of the packaging industry’s products will usually be displayed on these stretches of beach that’s not controlled by a single resort. Forget it, if you ever get tired of the mess & crowds, you can always cheer yourself by going to an Internet cafand cheque the weather back home.

Island hopping

Phuket is surrounded by thirty-nine beautiful small satellite islands. Of particular interest are the following. Ko Racha Yai, or Raya Yai is shining beaches can be reached by shared or rented boat from Ao Chalong Phuket. A hilltop viewpoint offers a spectacular view over the island. On the nearby Ko Racha Noi or Noi Raya there are more rocks than beaches, there is a good fishing but not swimming, destination. Ko Mai Thon, off Phuket’s southeast coast is highly prized for its fine white beaches & crystal clear water & is ideal for swimming, diving or fishing. Busy Little Ko Hae, a part of a marine preserve, is so famous for its coral reefs, it’s often referred to simply as Coral Island. In addition to the splendid reefs there are 2 fine beaches on the north & west of the island. Ko Nakha Noi is popular for its pearl farm & has fine sandy beaches suitable for swimming & a good seafood restaurant. Ko Bon has a white sandy beach & is only 10 min offshore from Phuket.

Risks

Especially in the rainy season, there are strong currents on many of the beaches & drownings are common, especially on Surin Beach, because of big waves, turbulent flows & steep seabed. Because of the liquidation of the island, hilly roads & poor visibility, Phuket gets more than its fair share of accidents. Most days someone, often a foreigner dies in Phuket in a traffic accident, 9 out of ten, which is a motorcycle. With your photo taken with a cute gibbons on 1 of the beaches is very dangerous, not to you but to nature. The Phuket Vegetarian Festival Celebrant go into hypnotic trance & become a medium for spirits from beyond the grave, which instruct them to pierce their bodies with all kinds of household objects. If you think you don’t feel pain in a light bulb out of your tongue or stabbing a sword out of your cheek, then, by all means join in, but maybe your insurance company call for approval first.

Cruises in Phuket, Thailand is definitely to be the best Charters in Asia

Cruises in Thailand, we had never heard of anything so ridiculous, & all the other recommendations you normally get when you are chatting on the business class, (just to really take some time). We decided to give it a try!

When I landed in Singapore I went straight to my boat & fired on the laptop. I’ve a Google search for Phuket Yacht Charter & grabbed the first boat that came up.

Hey presto, there was a 70ft Catamaran that can sleep up to sixteen guests, was very similar to the boat I was here in Singapore but I wasn’t going to waste time & fuel to sail down to Phuket on my cat.

That was me, I’ve my sister’s 40th birthday next week & she had just been saying about a week ago that she didn’t know what to do to celebrate. This was the solution!

That looked like it was a fantastic boat to a larger group of guests who’d absolutely luxury on a cruise.

So I ordered all of us as a surprise Dream cruise in three days to the east coast of Phuket. Im told that cruise this part of the island are incredible with the magical views of the famous Phang Nga Bay.

When this was done I had to book a flight, the best & cheapest I could find after looking around was Tiger Airways low-cost airlines, which only costs around $ 260USD was back to Singapore so this was good, we were like!

We have arrived at Phuket Airport are all a little hangover from the previous nights drinking, which Shangani Captain was waiting patiently with a banner. To get all of them, we jumped in the bus & were all transferred to Ao Po Marina, located at the entrance to Phang Nga Bay.

WOW! We arrive & it is just the way it was described! Fantastic! (A few people mumbled). The limestone karst of Phang Nga Bay lay before us. This is really like something from a movie, I am not joking!

We are all aboard the boat, & sail to this Xanadu called Phang Nga Bay in Phuket, where we popped open the first of many bottles of Dom Perignon Champagne, at this point, I knew my sister would’ve a 40th birthday, that we’d all cherish! To her 50th that is!

This was the first time that many in the party had embarked on a yacht of this type, & many had never been on a cruise before, & even less in Thailand so it was a good all round feel on board!

After the first day cruising around these spectacular islands we Arrive at Ko Hong Phang Nga, we were anchored the first night. There is a fantastic environment here, we’ve examined all the sea caves & hidden lagoons by Kayak, provided by the Yacht, loved all the guys in the lot of these adventures, but many of the ladies stayed on board & had a champagne & strawberry’s.

The following day after a late night singing, dancing & drinking (hangover once again) on board the yacht, we headed to Koh Hong Krabi. The beaches are beautiful here. So we went for a swim & chilled from the night before.

Now I feel like I am on vacation! Was 1 comment I heard from a member of the party, as we swam in the clear water & watched the picturesque rock formations. We decided to Anchor up here overnight.

We all enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked buy Cordon Bleu Chef. Now we were in paradise!

The next morning we took a memorable beautiful cruise down to Ko Naka this is a big long stretch of sandy beach, & a very typical small Thai Reggae, Caribbean Beach Shack Bar, where 1 of my brothers friends had a guitar, so we all had a sing song with your feet in the sand, sipping cold beer on the beach at sunset.

A large part of the block were definitely children as usual play hermit racing against each other it was really fun to watch actually!

We enjoyed our last evening on board this fabulous yacht in Phang Nga Bay, which I must say was as recommended in Hong Kong to Singapore flight a week earlier, quite rightly as 1 of the most magical places in the world! & I’ll surely return to my 50: E!
